Good Afternoon Fountain International Magnet School Families,

This is Charlotte Martinez with our last weekly updates for the school year!

On Monday, June 11th, we will have our Second Semester Awards Assemblies. The Kindergarten and First Grade Awards Assembly will start at 8:30 AM. Then our Second and Third Grade Awards Assembly will start at 9:45 AM.  Both assemblies will take place in the FIMS' Gymnasium.

After the assembly, we are asking that parents exit out of the gym doors in order to help out with traffic in the building.  Later on Monday, we will have our Kindergarten Graduation Ceremony at Pueblo East High School in the Auditorium at 1:30 PM. Students will ride the bus to East for the ceremony.  After the ceremony, students will be dismissed to parents, and a reception will immediately follow in the cafeteria at East High School.

On Tuesday, June 12th, students will have Yearbook Signing in the morning from 8:30 to 9:00 AM. Then we will have our Field Day Activities from 9:00 AM to 11:00 AM.  The school will serve lunch to students who remain for the full day.

For Field Day, students are allowed to wear athletic shorts, t-shirts, and sneakers. Students should not wear tank tops or flip flops. Please make sure that your student is wearing sunscreen and that he or she has a water bottle and towel since there will be water stations. Students are welcome to bring hats and a change of clothing too.

We also want to let parents know that the 2018-2019 School Supply List can be found on the FIMS’ Webpage under the “Announcements” section.  This year parents have the opportunity to purchase school supplies in one easy step through the Built By Blue Company. Information about this opportunity and link are also found on the FIMS’ Web Page and Facebook Page.

As we enter this last week of school, we want to thank everyone for a successful school year! We thank all the members of our school community (including parents, guardians, students, teachers, and support staff) for the support and hard work in making wonderful learning experiences for students all throughout the school year.

Please remind your students of our behavior expectations on this last week of school as we want it to be a great one for all.
