Good Afternoon Fountain International Magnet School Families!

Here are our weekly updates.  Monday is a holiday, so there will be no school for students or staff.
Our online enrollment application for new students for the 2017-2018 school year will open. A link will be posted on the FIMS’ webpage as well as the Pueblo City Schools’ main webpage.

On Thursday, January 19th, we have several events taking place. First, our second grade students will be taking a field trip to The Center for American Values. We will also have a Gifted and Talented Parent Meeting this day at 6 PM. Finally, the Energy Poster Contest ends this day, and students entering the contest should turn in their poster to their classroom teacher.  Information about the poster contest can be found on the FIMS' Webpage under Upcoming Events.

Friday will be a teacher workday, so students will not have school on this day.

Just a few more reminders. A Nutrition and Zumba Class offered through the American Diabetes Association will begin on Monday January 16th at El Centro del Quinto Sol.  A flier for this event can be found on the FIMS’ Webpage under Recent Announcements. Also, the International Festival Committee has posted several volunteering opportunities. This wonderful event provides lots of opportunities for parents to get the needed volunteering hours through home tasks and event day tasks, so please take time to go to the website and sign-up to help out!

Finally, we want to remind parents of parking courtesy when picking-up or dropping-off students.  Please do not block driveways or bus loading areas.

Thank you for all you do to make Fountain International a great place!
Enjoy the rest of your weekend!

Good Afternoon Fountain International Magnet School Families,

This is Charlotte Martinez with our weekly updates.

First, our third session of After School Enrichment Classes will begin on Monday, January 9th. If you would like to enroll your student in one of these classes, the registration form is located on the FIMS’ Webpage under the Announcements Section.  Also on Monday, we will have our International Festival Committee Meeting at 6:00 PM in the Learning Commons.  We will be posting additional volunteering opportunities for this big event soon, but please feel free to attend this meeting to get more information.

On Tuesday, January 10th, we will have our Student of the Month Breakfast at 8 AM in the FIMS’ Gym. We look forward to seeing all of our students who have been selected for this event.

On Wednesday, January 11th, we will have our General PTO Meeting at 6:00 PM where our officers will be giving updates on fundraisers and upcoming school purchases. We look forward to seeing everyone there.

Also since we had the snow day this last Friday, we will move our $1 Jeans and Spirit Shirt Day as well as our January Birthday Celebrations to this Friday, January 13th. If a teacher has a scheduling conflict with this change, the teacher may change their class' birthday celebration to a different date and will communicate that information out to parents.

Lastly, if you are planning to enroll a younger sibling into FIMS for the 2017-2018 school year or know of another family who is interested in enrolling their children into Fountain International, we wanted to let all parents know that the Online FIMS' Enrollment Application for the 2017-2018 school year will be posted on January 16th.  Please continue to check our webpage as more details will be coming out soon.

Thank you and have a great rest of your weekend!
